A friend and former colleague had been contemplating his future for some time. Selling a business is a major emotional and career decision, and when he was finally ready to retire, he asked Tom to assist with the sale of his Triangle-based IT service and support company.
Tom developed a Confidential Business Review and marketed the business throughout North and South Carolina. After receiving multiple Letters of Intent from interested buyers, the business was sold to a Charlotte-based buyer looking to expand into the Triangle market.
The transaction closed at $325,000 in just under six months.
