A Career Built on Real Business Outcomes

Tom’s background isn’t just in brokerage, it’s in business itself. He earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA from the University of Michigan, then spent decades as a CEO, COO and CFO of companies with sales ranging from $20 million to $550 million, with both domestic and international operations. His mergers and acquisitions experience includes personally leading acquisitions ranging from $10 million to $160 million in purchase price across a variety of industries and in several countries.

He has served on multiple corporate Boards of Directors, including Toyota Georgetown’s supplier development group, and has led joint ventures with Japanese manufacturing firms. One of his more notable consulting engagements was serving as COO of Southern Grind, Zac Brown’s custom knife company, while helping implement effective management systems across Southern Ground’s operating companies.

Tom and his family have called Raleigh home for over 20 years. When he’s not working with clients, you’ll find him on the golf course, traveling or cheering on his grandchildren.
